Warehouse - Yard Associate

Job Summary:
A Yard Team Member is responsible for the picking, put-away and receiving processes of all product. They are also responsible for overall cleanliness and general maintenance of their immediate area and throughout the Warehouse. This person will be driving the attitude and purpose that Care Supply Co. stands for.


  • The organization and process, of receiving, picking and loading trucks efficiently.
  • Making sure the Yard area is always attended.
  • Organization and cleanliness of Yard and surrounding areas.
  • Monitoring of sales backorders and making sure we are getting them pulled and delivered efficiently.
  • Communication with Sales Reps, as needed, on status of orders, related to picking, and any changes that need to be made that will affect their order.
  • Communication with the Inventory team, if quantities need to be adjusted or cycle counted.
  • Communication with the Inventory team on any discrepancies, and efficient handling of them.
  • Coordination and implementation of the put-away process in an accurate and efficient manner.
  • Assist and supervise the process of unloading trucks as needed.
  • The ability to recognize opportunities for changes that can affect efficiency in pulling, receiving and put away.
  • Proper cycle counting of the Yard Blocks/Shipping Cones in Yard areas.
  • Constant communication with your Team Leader about the opportunities and successes in your department.
  • Maintaining safety standards in all aspects of your job requirements.


  • Ability to work with teammates at all levels within the company.
  • 2 + years’ experience working in an outdoor yard.
  • Experienced in forklift operations including but not limited to: handling material more than 1,000 lbs., efficient loading and unloading of flatbed trucks.
  • Great attitude.
  • Coachable and teachable.
  • Great work ethic.
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions.
  • Thorough knowledge of procedures and operations of wireless scanning systems including, but not limited to receiving, picking and put away.
  • In depth knowledge of the products we provide.
  • Knowledge of the sales processes and communication systems within the company.
  • Dependable.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Ability to manage your time efficiently.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
