Sales Manager - Construction Supply Division

Job Summary:
Care Supply is seeking a SALES MANAGER to lead a team of outside sales professionals in our General Supply division.  As a Care Supply Sales Manager, you will direct and oversee sales personnel, sales policies, objectives, and initiatives. You will establish short and long-term sales strategies to support company growth goals and objectives. You will analyze sales history and trends and assist your team develop customer sales plans. These sales plans will support the company’s ongoing growth and expansion plans.


  • Manage, mentor, and lead the division’s outside sales team.
  • Recruit, interview and hire new sales team members.
  • Develop needs assessment and personal training plans for sales team members.
  • Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual sales plans congruent with the company’s strategic goals.
  • Work directly with larger customers and cultivate relationships with decision makers at all levels within the customer organizations.
  • Meet with the customers’ top decision makers to perform relationship and future needs assessments.
  • Identify new sales opportunities and delegate the pursuit of those opportunities to the appropriate sales team member.
  • Assist in the development of sales policy and procedures and drive compliance with the outside sales team.
  • Develop strong relationships with our supplier partners.
  • Assist in the development of supplier-funded promotions, training and social events.
  • Work closely with Care Supply’s internal team leaders (IT, Marketing, Purchasing, Inside Sales, Accounting and Operations) to accomplish company objectives.
  • Analyze sales data and recommend changes to improve results.
  • Participate in and support the activities and initiatives of organizations, associations and buying groups related to the business of Care Supply and its customers.
  • Assist sales team members in the preparation and presentation of customer proposals and product training.


  • Bachelor’s Degree a plus but not required.
  • 3-5 years of successful sales management experience related to distribution of commodity products to an end user.
  • Demonstrated and proven sales management results.
  • Ability to analyze data and sales statistics and translate into quantifiable goals and solutions.
  • Ability to prepare and present goals and forecasts for future needs and results.
  • Experience compiling sales budgets including related departmental expenses.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
